Structural Alterations Kent
in the South East
RJ Construction specialises in structural alterations projects from RSJ installations for new openings for bi-fold doors, load bearing wall removal, chimney breast removal and lintel replacements.
RSJ beams are made in a strong H-shape, and are installed so that the long flat sides of the H are at the top and bottom of the beam, providing a very strong surface on which upper storeys, wall sections or ceilings and roofs can be constructed.
If the wall you are wanting to remove is load bearing, you will need a structural drawing from an engineer. This can be included within our package or to speed the process up you can organise this beforehand and we can work from your drawings.
Before any works start we first protect your existing flooring with plastic and wooden boards then build dust screens to prevent dust escaping to other parts of your home or building.
Structural alterations don’t need to come with a great environmental cost. During our projects, we strive to recycle and divert as much waste from landfill as possible. Thats why we have carefully chosen two companies to deal with our waste.
If your project is local to Maidstone, our clean hardcore and soil gets taken to Gallager quarry located near Maidstone Hospital. This is then screened and resold resulting in none going to landfill.
