This cottage located in a country lane has been flooded several times over the years due to it being lower than the road and at the bottom of a hill with the road camber leaning towards the property. The road gully you can see blocks due to leaves leaving the water flowing into the property.
We have installed a 450mm drainage chamber which can be lifted in an emergency. We have moved the linear drainage closer to the wall and in its place we have built a 4 inch wall around the property to help divert the water away.
As a last result we have also installed a water pumping station incase an extra pump needs to be used
