Garage extension
Garages are considered a permitted development, You can build a garage without planning permission but it has to follow a very complicated set of rules. Needles to say we would arrange our architect to visit to give clarification and to apply for a lawful development certificate before works start.
Garage conversion
You don’t usually need planning permission for a garage conversion, as long as the work is internal and doesn’t make the garage larger. However, be sure to check your permitted development rights if you live on a housing estate, as some properties may have a condition that requires the garage to remain as a parking space.

For projects of under £2000 we accept payment on completion. For projects of £2000 or above a £10% commitment to works deposit will be required and a stage payment plan detailing when the payments will be required.
