Below is a recent house renovation we completed in Allington Maidstone. The property required a full renovation including new kitchen, bathroom, roof, plumbing, electrics and double glazing. RJ Construction fully managed the project from start to finish.
Existing concrete footpath and grass removed. New Marshalls Indian sandstone – Grey multi laid with Artificial grass inserted within the boarder. Picket fence erected around the perimeter.Existing concrete plank lintel had failed above the window. We removed the window and blockwork and used acrow support props to hold up the floor whilst we installed a new RSJ.New window and doors installed and finished off with Marley weatherboard Slate grey.
FRONT OF PROPERTY
Our first job in the back garden was the clear the undergrowth. Garden was cleared using a micro digger and skips. New 6ft fence erected with 12 inch gravel board. 8 tone of topsoil was brought in to raise the level of the garden. New soil stack was erected on the outside of the building along with other 4 inch drainage. New Upvc double glazing installed throughout the house including new French doors. The original opening had to be made smaller, all existing concrete lintels painted brown to match the bricks better. Marshalls Indian sandstone – Grey multi was used as the main slab.
REAR GARDEN
LIVING ROOM
The chimney has been removed from the living room and the entire house. The wall between the lobby and living was removed and rebuilt from timber to have a built in tv bracket and hidden wiring for the tv. New RSJ installed above the window.
KITCHEN
We have removed the dinning room wall to create an open plan kitchen diner area. The old kitchen door was bricked up to allow for more cupboard space. New double glazed French doors installed with integrated blinds within the glass.
BATHROOM
Bathroom wall removed and built 800mm wider to change the layout of the bathroom. New stud work false wall erected to hide pipes and to install a recessed bathroom cabinet.
MASTER BEDROOM
Built-in wardrobe removed, soil stacked removed from boxing in corner and erected outside.
SECOND BEDROOM
Built-in wardrobe removed, soil stacked removed from boxing in corner and erected outside.
THIRD BEDROOM
Angled block work above the stairs removed and built straight to gain more room in the bedroom. Rebuilt from studwork and built in wardrobe.
ROOF
Roofing felt had perished in many places so we had no choice to strip the roof off and installed new breathable felt and new tiles. Soffit, fascia and guttering replaced.
ENTRANCE
New shelves build with custom MDF doors to match internal door detailing.
