I was looking for a construction company to take on my extension, I was recommended R J Construction. From the very beginning, they was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in the design process. We decided to use R J Construction to build our extension after the hard work they put in at the beginning stage. In the building process they informed and kept us up to date on a day to day basis, which was very helpful but also reassuring and I must say the project went very well. The build ran very smooth with very little disruption, the guys even tidied up every evening. With all their hard work and effort, they have left us with a lovely new extension to a very high standard. Robert and James are both very professional and I couldn’t recommend them enough.

RJ Construction have just replaced our drive. They always arrived at the time they stated and carried out the work from planning to completion in a friendly yet professional manner. They did their best to keep the worksite tidy and the mess to a minimum. When the work was completed all waste was cleared away and we were left with a first-class drive that was exactly as we wanted it.
The most recent project we’ve had undertaken by RJ Construction required a loft party wall removal (timber) and reinstatement in block-work. The property had just undergone a full re-decoration therefore they had to ensure their attention to cleanliness and organisation was correct. It’s safe to say not only did they achieve the main works requirement but they also identified issues within the original chimney support, liaised with our structural engineer, coordinated building control and still met project deadlines.

RJ Construction recently replaced some fencing down the side of our garden. We were very pleased with the way things went from start to finish. The quotation they supplied gave us several options to choose from and made it clear exactly what was included. The skips turned up and were removed on time and the area where they were working was left very tidy at the end of each day. The work was completed on time, and they even turned up for a few hours on the Bank Holiday Monday to make up a bit of lost time, after they lost the best part of a days work due to heavy rain. We are both very pleased with our new fence which looks very smart, and far superior to the one it replaced. They also made an excellent job of clearing the undergrowth and weeds along the fence line, and actually cleared a larger area than we had expected. When they had finished, they also made an excellent job of clearing and cleaning the worksite, so that in fact I had no clearing up to do myself. All in all an excellent job, and we will not hesitate to use them again. Next job – painting the facias and soffits.

After spotting Robert and his team working nearby we asked if they would be open to a small job. Our old boiler was recently removed from the kitchen, and whilst plastered up on the inside there was a gaping hole in the exterior brickwork. Robert popped by to take a look and was back a few days later to fill it in. Great chap and really happy, the new bricks are like for like with the existing ones and you would never know any difference.
Robert and James from RJ Construction undertook a large extension with attic conversion and total refurbishment of the whole house. RJ Construction were well-organised, with great attention to detail, and kept us informed and consulted on changes to scope and cost.

Rob and Partner were tasked with removing old conservatory and building base and walls for new Orangery. This included having to completely relay all waste drainage system to 4 outlets. Very polite, amenable and motivated. Fully explained work to be done and involved us in decision making. All work done to a high standard kept job very neat, including the reinstatement of the garden and surrounding areas. Brickwork is very sharp and clean…will be approaching again for any future building work.

Rob, James, and Wade have just completed our extension starting back in November. We chose them to ensure we saw the same face every day unlike some companies that sub out all the work. Me and my partner recently moved to Maidstone from Bristol and needed some work doing on our new house. Not knowing any local builders we had to choose someone online without knowing anything about them, which was a daunting task to say the least!

James and his team were contracted to convert my somewhat under used garage into a habitable and comfortable room – the “snug”. The service James and his team offered was second to none. Courteous, professional pleasant and above all communicative; letting us know at every step of the job what was happening and when.
On cessation of each days work the team always cleared up and left things both safe and tidy. The garage conversation went to plan and met the budget. A couple of minor repair jobs were also completed without cost to us. A slate missing here and a brick changed there etc.
The snug is now a haven for the grandchildren and a man cave when footy is on. Its warm in the winter and cool in the summer. An additional bedroom when guests appear.
So, for a first class job my family and I have an end product which has surpassed our expectations; I would not hesitate in calling James and the team to do additional works!

RJ Construction replaced a fence post which had been broken when hit by a car with minimal disruption and made a quick job of it. I was concerned that in removing the broken post it would make a mess of our driveway but Rob ensured this didn’t happen. I would highly recommend!
This company has just finished building the foundations and brickwork for a conservatory we are having at the rear of our property. There were either two or three people doing the work over a two week period and it was refreshing in this day and age to deal with friendly and courteous people throughout the time they were there. We asked RJ Construction to build a new garage, two storey extension and make internal alterations to our existing house. From our very first phone call until completion we found the communication with RJ Construction fantastic. Both Rob and James were only too happy to give us an update on progress at the end of each day. RJ Construction arranged and managed all the third-party trades on our behalf allowing the works to be completed on time and to budget. RJ Construction undertook the demolition, groundworks, brickwork, carpentry, electrics, glazing and plastering, the quality of workmanship cannot be faulted. For the 11 months that RJ Construction were on site the area in which they were working was kept clean and tidy. The whole team are extremely friendly and polite, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others or use them for future works. A great team of guys where nothing is too much trouble.

After much consideration, I decided to block pave my modest drive and was pleased when a colleague recommended RJ Construction to do the work. From the first time I spoke to Rob at RJ he was confident the job could be done quickly and within my budget, He was also able to give me a clear idea of what he could do to improve both the look and practicality of my drive with some excellent suggestions. After assessing the job and talking me through my options they were quick to quote and after deciding they were the company to choose both Rob and James were on site within 6 weeks to begin the job. Rob, James and the team did an amazing job on converting our integrated garage into a bedroom and ensuite, and also built a single-storey extension at the rear of our house (kitchen/dining room). Due to using some cowboy builders previously for the garage conversion, they rectified all the problems we had been left with. RJ construction provided an excellent service for our garage conversion, during which Rob, James and team, were friendly, considerate and efficient.
RJ construction carried out a lot of work for us last summer, including a large concrete base for a log cabin installation, new fences put in, and leveling of the garden for turf to be laid. During the time they were working here, they even helped with some work on our gutters, and our neighbour’s roof! Would highly recommend, and will definitely use them again during future projects.
