Rob and his team recently completed the groundwork, brickwork and soakaways for our extension. We found them to be extremely reliable, professional and hardworking. Despite awful weather they arrived on time every day and worked full, often long days. We encountered a number of challenges during the works but due to Rob’s knowledge and experience they were easily resolved. Communication was excellent with daily updates and explanations. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend RJ Construction and would definitely use them again.

Rob and Partner were tasked with removing old conservatory and building base and walls for new Orangery. This included having to completely relay all waste drainage system to 4 outlets. Very polite, amenable and motivated. Fully explained work to be done and involved us in decision making. All work done to a high standard kept job very neat, including the reinstatement of the garden and surrounding areas. Brickwork is very sharp and clean…will be approaching again for any future building work.

After much consideration, I decided to block pave my modest drive and was pleased when a colleague recommended RJ Construction to do the work. From the first time I spoke to Rob at RJ he was confident the job could be done quickly and within my budget, He was also able to give me a clear idea of what he could do to improve both the look and practicality of my drive with some excellent suggestions. After assessing the job and talking me through my options they were quick to quote and after deciding they were the company to choose both Rob and James were on site within 6 weeks to begin the job. They turned up early on the first day and the job progressed over the next 3 days as they promised, they even worked on Sunday to get the job finished! I am extremely pleased with the end result, it has transformed the look of the front of my house and I will definitely be using RJ construction again in the future. RJ Construction recently replaced some fencing down the side of our garden. We were very pleased with the way things went from start to finish. The quotation they supplied gave us several options to choose from and made it clear exactly what was included. The skips turned up and were removed on time and the area where they were working was left very tidy at the end of each day. The work was completed on time, and they even turned up for a few hours on the Bank Holiday Monday to make up a bit of lost time, after they lost the best part of a days work due to heavy rain. We are both very pleased with our new fence which looks very smart, and far superior to the one it replaced. They also made an excellent job of clearing the undergrowth and weeds along the fence line, and actually cleared a larger area than we had expected. When they had finished, they also made an excellent job of clearing and cleaning the worksite, so that in fact I had no clearing up to do myself. All in all an excellent job, and we will not hesitate to use them again. Next job – painting the facias and soffits.
I used RJ Construction to knock through my kitchen to my new conservatory and move a window to the side of the house. The space has been completed and now looks exactly as I wanted it to. Throughout the works, the team listened to what I wanted, made suggestions to keep within my budget and carried out the work to high standard. Rob, James, and Wade have just completed our extension starting back in November. We chose them to ensure we saw the same face every day unlike some companies that sub out all the work. James and Rob gave me confidence from the start and pride themselves on building honest and open relationships with their customers and they truly do. They took most of the stress out of the build, quoted a fair price and remained within this other than my offer of more work. This was because their standards are extremely high and they always left the end of the day with our home as tidy as possible. I could not be happier with them and anything I needed to ask was met with the time needed to understand the process and before finishing James ensured he went round to check everything was as it should be; to his high standards. Wade the apprentice is equally as helpful; helping me move the arrival of my kitchen down to the summer house. He didnt have to do this but wanted to and I really appreciated that. I would recommend RJ Construction to anyone and everyone i meet. The best friendly builders we have had and now we have found them, any more future work will be done by them.

Rob, James and the team did an amazing job on converting our integrated garage into a bedroom and ensuite, and also built a single-storey extension at the rear of our house (kitchen/dining room). Due to using some cowboy builders previously for the garage conversion, they rectified all the problems we had been left with. Rob and his team did the demolition of a conservatory and did the building work for a replacement extension. In addition, they did significant structural with to remove an internal and an external wall and installed two huge steels. Throughout the build, the work ethic was outstanding and constant communication to ensure that we had no surprises. Attention to detail was there throughout, with huge framed polythene sheets to minimise the dust impact. I would not hesitate to use Rob and Sam again and recommend them to anyone else as well. After spotting Robert and his team working nearby we asked if they would be open to a small job. Our old boiler was recently removed from the kitchen, and whilst plastered up on the inside there was a gaping hole in the exterior brickwork. Robert popped by to take a look and was back a few days later to fill it in. Great chap and really happy, the new bricks are like for like with the existing ones and you would never know any difference.
RJ Construction have just replaced our drive. They always arrived at the time they stated and carried out the work from planning to completion in a friendly yet professional manner. They did their best to keep the worksite tidy and the mess to a minimum. When the work was completed all waste was cleared away and we were left with a first-class drive that was exactly as we wanted it.
We asked RJ Construction to build a new garage, two storey extension and make internal alterations to our existing house. From our very first phone call until completion we found the communication with RJ Construction fantastic. Both Rob and James were only too happy to give us an update on progress at the end of each day. RJ Construction arranged and managed all the third-party trades on our behalf allowing the works to be completed on time and to budget. RJ Construction undertook the demolition, groundworks, brickwork, carpentry, electrics, glazing and plastering, the quality of workmanship cannot be faulted. For the 11 months that RJ Construction were on site the area in which they were working was kept clean and tidy. The whole team are extremely friendly and polite, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others or use them for future works. A great team of guys where nothing is too much trouble.
Having searched the web for someone to provide quotes we went with RJ, who not only responded quickly but were very careful to ensure they understood exactly what we were looking to achieve and that they had to do so within budget. The job was started and completed on time, to a superb standard and to the agreed budget.
Rob installed our new outside waste pipe into the ground and incorporated the drain gullies. He was quick to give us a quote, no waiting around. I highly recommend RJ Construction. Rob and his team carried out the building work on my recent extension and I employed him to do some other jobs too while he was on site. Rob gained my trust quickly by contacting me in advance to discuss the project in detail. He took a lot of trouble to order brick samples, for example, and advised on other matters too. While on site Rob and his teamed worked hard but carefully and thoroughly; he involved me in the process, gave me options and was honest enough to show me when there was an error (not his fault) and corrected it. Overall I thought the work Rob and his team did was of a high standard, he ensured a good quality finish and added some extras. I thought the prices for his work were more than reasonable in light of the effort and care put in, and the finished quality. I’d add that Rob and his team were friendly, thoughtful (e.g. about noise and neighbours) and kept the place tidy during the project. Finding companies like RJ construction isn’t always easy and I’m glad that I did for my project.
