I highly recommend RJ Construction. Rob and his team carried out the building work on my recent extension and I employed him to do some other jobs too while he was on site. Rob gained my trust quickly by contacting me in advance to discuss the project in detail. He took a lot of trouble to order brick samples, for example, and advised on other matters too. While on site Rob and his teamed worked hard but carefully and thoroughly; he involved me in the process, gave me options and was honest enough to show me when there was an error (not his fault) and corrected it. Overall I thought the work Rob and his team did was of a high standard, he ensured a good quality finish and added some extras. I thought the prices for his work were more than reasonable in light of the effort and care put in, and the finished quality. I’d add that Rob and his team were friendly, thoughtful (e.g. about noise and neighbours) and kept the place tidy during the project. Finding companies like RJ construction isn’t always easy and I’m glad that I did for my project.
Rob, James and the team did an amazing job on converting our integrated garage into a bedroom and ensuite, and also built a single-storey extension at the rear of our house (kitchen/dining room). Due to using some cowboy builders previously for the garage conversion, they rectified all the problems we had been left with. We were so impressed with their work, we had them back again to build our extension. They were polite, professional and very friendly. Any questions we had were answered quickly. Rob & James were involved with the laying of a concrete floor and other building works for our conservatory installed last summer. I would recommend this outfit because of their reliability, courtesy and job execution. They are on our list of preferred contractors for future work.
Rob and Partner were tasked with removing old conservatory and building base and walls for new Orangery. This included having to completely relay all waste drainage system to 4 outlets. Very polite, amenable and motivated. Fully explained work to be done and involved us in decision making. All work done to a high standard kept job very neat, including the reinstatement of the garden and surrounding areas. Brickwork is very sharp and clean…will be approaching again for any future building work.
Rob and his team were excellent when working on our conservatory. His technical knowledge and advice with other jobs since then have been fantastic and always does what he says, something that you don’t get in many trades nowadays. Would recommend 100% and already have.

Rob and his team recently completed the groundwork, brickwork and soakaways for our extension. We found them to be extremely reliable, professional and hardworking. Despite awful weather they arrived on time every day and worked full, often long days. We encountered a number of challenges during the works but due to Rob’s knowledge and experience they were easily resolved. Communication was excellent with daily updates and explanations. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend RJ Construction and would definitely use them again.

After spotting Robert and his team working nearby we asked if they would be open to a small job. Our old boiler was recently removed from the kitchen, and whilst plastered up on the inside there was a gaping hole in the exterior brickwork. Robert popped by to take a look and was back a few days later to fill it in. Great chap and really happy, the new bricks are like for like with the existing ones and you would never know any difference.
Rob, James, and Wade have just completed our extension starting back in November. We chose them to ensure we saw the same face every day unlike some companies that sub out all the work. James and Rob gave me confidence from the start and pride themselves on building honest and open relationships with their customers and they truly do. They took most of the stress out of the build, quoted a fair price and remained within this other than my offer of more work. This was because their standards are extremely high and they always left the end of the day with our home as tidy as possible. I could not be happier with them and anything I needed to ask was met with the time needed to understand the process and before finishing James ensured he went round to check everything was as it should be; to his high standards. Wade the apprentice is equally as helpful; helping me move the arrival of my kitchen down to the summer house. He didnt have to do this but wanted to and I really appreciated that. I would recommend RJ Construction to anyone and everyone i meet. The best friendly builders we have had and now we have found them, any more future work will be done by them.
We had a path built around our garden, a patio laid and a drive in block work. They were very professional and polite. We were very pleased with their work and have no hesitation in recommending them.

Did our new patio. The workmanship was excellent and the results were outstanding. James and Wade were punctual, efficient and very friendly. Would recommend them without hesitation!
James and his team were contracted to convert my somewhat under used garage into a habitable and comfortable room – the “snug”. The service James and his team offered was second to none. Courteous, professional pleasant and above all communicative; letting us know at every step of the job what was happening and when.
On cessation of each days work the team always cleared up and left things both safe and tidy. The garage conversation went to plan and met the budget. A couple of minor repair jobs were also completed without cost to us. A slate missing here and a brick changed there etc.
The snug is now a haven for the grandchildren and a man cave when footy is on. Its warm in the winter and cool in the summer. An additional bedroom when guests appear.
So, for a first class job my family and I have an end product which has surpassed our expectations; I would not hesitate in calling James and the team to do additional works!

Rob and his team did the demolition of a conservatory and did the building work for a replacement extension. In addition, they did significant structural with to remove an internal and an external wall and installed two huge steels. Throughout the build, the work ethic was outstanding and constant communication to ensure that we had no surprises. Attention to detail was there throughout, with huge framed polythene sheets to minimise the dust impact. I would not hesitate to use Rob and Sam again and recommend them to anyone else as well. This company has just finished building the foundations and brickwork for a conservatory we are having at the rear of our property. There were either two or three people doing the work over a two week period and it was refreshing in this day and age to deal with friendly and courteous people throughout the time they were there. On top of this, the work was done to a very good standard and at the end of each day, everything was left clean and tidy. Well done and good luck with your future business project
An excellent job on a difficult project involving the construction of a semi-circular conservatory and kitchen extension. I was very pleased with the result.
RJ Construction recently replaced some fencing down the side of our garden. We were very pleased with the way things went from start to finish. The quotation they supplied gave us several options to choose from and made it clear exactly what was included. The skips turned up and were removed on time and the area where they were working was left very tidy at the end of each day. The work was completed on time, and they even turned up for a few hours on the Bank Holiday Monday to make up a bit of lost time, after they lost the best part of a days work due to heavy rain. We are both very pleased with our new fence which looks very smart, and far superior to the one it replaced. They also made an excellent job of clearing the undergrowth and weeds along the fence line, and actually cleared a larger area than we had expected. When they had finished, they also made an excellent job of clearing and cleaning the worksite, so that in fact I had no clearing up to do myself. All in all an excellent job, and we will not hesitate to use them again. Next job – painting the facias and soffits.

After much consideration, I decided to block pave my modest drive and was pleased when a colleague recommended RJ Construction to do the work. From the first time I spoke to Rob at RJ he was confident the job could be done quickly and within my budget, He was also able to give me a clear idea of what he could do to improve both the look and practicality of my drive with some excellent suggestions. After assessing the job and talking me through my options they were quick to quote and after deciding they were the company to choose both Rob and James were on site within 6 weeks to begin the job. They turned up early on the first day and the job progressed over the next 3 days as they promised, they even worked on Sunday to get the job finished! RJ construction carried out a lot of work for us last summer, including a large concrete base for a log cabin installation, new fences put in, and leveling of the garden for turf to be laid. During the time they were working here, they even helped with some work on our gutters, and our neighbour’s roof! Would highly recommend, and will definitely use them again during future projects.
The most recent project we’ve had undertaken by RJ Construction required a loft party wall removal (timber) and reinstatement in block-work. The property had just undergone a full re-decoration therefore they had to ensure their attention to cleanliness and organisation was correct. It’s safe to say not only did they achieve the main works requirement but they also identified issues within the original chimney support, liaised with our structural engineer, coordinated building control and still met project deadlines.

I was looking for a construction company to take on my extension, I was recommended R J Construction. From the very beginning, they was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in the design process. We decided to use R J Construction to build our extension after the hard work they put in at the beginning stage. In the building process they informed and kept us up to date on a day to day basis, which was very helpful but also reassuring and I must say the project went very well. The build ran very smooth with very little disruption, the guys even tidied up every evening. With all their hard work and effort, they have left us with a lovely new extension to a very high standard. Robert and James are both very professional and I couldn’t recommend them enough.

Rob and RJ installed a vertical and horizontal beam for me sunk into the ceiling with a big padstone in the footing.
They went above and beyond when performing the job to make sure everything was completed on time (even with unexpected … More plumbing and electrical systems in the way) Rob was working till 9 on a friday to ensure the job was completed so I could get my kitchen sorted.
They had a great system to keep everything clean and as dust free as possible. They were extremely professional and price wise very fair, coming in well under some massive quotes I received. They were also very attentive to my partners working situation (with clients in a home salon)
Honestly could have not asked for more from Rob and the team. Choosing someone to undertake the job was not something I took lightly and spoke with about 10 contractors, I immediately knew I wanted to use RJ as soon as he started speaking, and its a decision I’m incredibly relieved and happy I did
