We came to RJ Construction in a really difficult position — we'd been abandoned by a previous builder partway through our extension, leaving us with substandard work that needed to be pulled back and remedied before the project could even properly begin. James, Rob and the entire team took all of that in their stride. What we realised most was how genuine, hard working and experienced James and Rob are. The team were on site every day, always available to answer questions, and genuinely engaged in finding solutions to help us achieve what we wanted. And when they weren't on site we could reach them by phone or message at any time. From the start Rob was really knowledgeable and even suggested installing a larger back door lintel so we have the option of fitting a bigger back door in the future, which was a great idea we hadn’t thought of. During the job he uncovered an issue with the top lintels which made the work more complicated than expected and meant new lintels had to be fabricated. Despite the extra challenge, it was handled professionally and completed to a really high standard. All of the brickwork was repaired and blended in so that it doesn’t stand out.
