After much consideration, I decided to block pave my modest drive and was pleased when a colleague recommended RJ Construction to do the work. From the first time I spoke to Rob at RJ he was confident the job could be done quickly and within my budget, He was also able to give me a clear idea of what he could do to improve both the look and practicality of my drive with some excellent suggestions. After assessing the job and talking me through my options they were quick to quote and after deciding they were the company to choose both Rob and James were on site within 6 weeks to begin the job. They turned up early on the first day and the job progressed over the next 3 days as they promised, they even worked on Sunday to get the job finished! I am extremely pleased with the end result, it has transformed the look of the front of my house and I will definitely be using RJ construction again in the future. Me and my wife have used Rob and James on more than one occasion we had them install a RSJ to allow for an open plan kitchen and living room. They have done various jobs around the garden and we will be using them again for future building works. They always go above and beyond.
James and his team were contracted to convert my somewhat under used garage into a habitable and comfortable room – the “snug”. The service James and his team offered was second to none. Courteous, professional pleasant and above all communicative; letting us know at every step of the job what was happening and when.
On cessation of each days work the team always cleared up and left things both safe and tidy. The garage conversation went to plan and met the budget. A couple of minor repair jobs were also completed without cost to us. A slate missing here and a brick changed there etc.
The snug is now a haven for the grandchildren and a man cave when footy is on. Its warm in the winter and cool in the summer. An additional bedroom when guests appear.
So, for a first class job my family and I have an end product which has surpassed our expectations; I would not hesitate in calling James and the team to do additional works!
After spotting Robert and his team working nearby we asked if they would be open to a small job. Our old boiler was recently removed from the kitchen, and whilst plastered up on the inside there was a gaping hole in the exterior brickwork. Robert popped by to take a look and was back a few days later to fill it in. Great chap and really happy, the new bricks are like for like with the existing ones and you would never know any difference.
RJ Construction recently laid a patio for me and I am very happy with the work carried out. The workmanship was excellent and price was very reasonable.

The most recent project we’ve had undertaken by RJ Construction required a loft party wall removal (timber) and reinstatement in block-work. The property had just undergone a full re-decoration therefore they had to ensure their attention to cleanliness and organisation was correct. It’s safe to say not only did they achieve the main works requirement but they also identified issues within the original chimney support, liaised with our structural engineer, coordinated building control and still met project deadlines.

We asked RJ Construction to build a new garage, two storey extension and make internal alterations to our existing house. From our very first phone call until completion we found the communication with RJ Construction fantastic. Both Rob and James were only too happy to give us an update on progress at the end of each day. RJ Construction arranged and managed all the third-party trades on our behalf allowing the works to be completed on time and to budget. RJ Construction undertook the demolition, groundworks, brickwork, carpentry, electrics, glazing and plastering, the quality of workmanship cannot be faulted. For the 11 months that RJ Construction were on site the area in which they were working was kept clean and tidy. The whole team are extremely friendly and polite, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others or use them for future works. A great team of guys where nothing is too much trouble.
I highly recommend RJ Construction. Rob and his team carried out the building work on my recent extension and I employed him to do some other jobs too while he was on site. Rob gained my trust quickly by contacting me in advance to discuss the project in detail. He took a lot of trouble to order brick samples, for example, and advised on other matters too. While on site Rob and his teamed worked hard but carefully and thoroughly; he involved me in the process, gave me options and was honest enough to show me when there was an error (not his fault) and corrected it. Overall I thought the work Rob and his team did was of a high standard, he ensured a good quality finish and added some extras. I thought the prices for his work were more than reasonable in light of the effort and care put in, and the finished quality. I’d add that Rob and his team were friendly, thoughtful (e.g. about noise and neighbours) and kept the place tidy during the project. Finding companies like RJ construction isn’t always easy and I’m glad that I did for my project.
If we could give them 6 stars we would. Great team, professional, standard of work that could not be faulted. There was no point in seeking another firm to do the patio work. Still delighted with it all. Would recommend them to anyone. Great job guys!

Rob and Partner were tasked with removing old conservatory and building base and walls for new Orangery. This included having to completely relay all waste drainage system to 4 outlets. Very polite, amenable and motivated. Fully explained work to be done and involved us in decision making. All work done to a high standard kept job very neat, including the reinstatement of the garden and surrounding areas. Brickwork is very sharp and clean…will be approaching again for any future building work.

Rob and his team did the demolition of a conservatory and did the building work for a replacement extension. In addition, they did significant structural with to remove an internal and an external wall and installed two huge steels. Throughout the build, the work ethic was outstanding and constant communication to ensure that we had no surprises. Attention to detail was there throughout, with huge framed polythene sheets to minimise the dust impact. I would not hesitate to use Rob and Sam again and recommend them to anyone else as well. Rob and Wade built the foundations and brick portion of our conservatory. We highly recommend them and their work. They were courteous and hard working. Rob’s brickwork was neat and accurate and care was taken to match the bricks to the existing property. RJ construction carried out a lot of work for us last summer, including a large concrete base for a log cabin installation, new fences put in, and leveling of the garden for turf to be laid. During the time they were working here, they even helped with some work on our gutters, and our neighbour’s roof! Would highly recommend, and will definitely use them again during future projects.

RJ Construction replaced a fence post which had been broken when hit by a car with minimal disruption and made a quick job of it. I was concerned that in removing the broken post it would make a mess of our driveway but Rob ensured this didn’t happen. I would highly recommend!

Rob, James, and Wade have just completed our extension starting back in November. We chose them to ensure we saw the same face every day unlike some companies that sub out all the work. James and Rob gave me confidence from the start and pride themselves on building honest and open relationships with their customers and they truly do. They took most of the stress out of the build, quoted a fair price and remained within this other than my offer of more work. This was because their standards are extremely high and they always left the end of the day with our home as tidy as possible. I could not be happier with them and anything I needed to ask was met with the time needed to understand the process and before finishing James ensured he went round to check everything was as it should be; to his high standards. Wade the apprentice is equally as helpful; helping me move the arrival of my kitchen down to the summer house. He didnt have to do this but wanted to and I really appreciated that. I would recommend RJ Construction to anyone and everyone i meet. The best friendly builders we have had and now we have found them, any more future work will be done by them.

This company has just finished building the foundations and brickwork for a conservatory we are having at the rear of our property. There were either two or three people doing the work over a two week period and it was refreshing in this day and age to deal with friendly and courteous people throughout the time they were there. Having searched the web for someone to provide quotes we went with RJ, who not only responded quickly but were very careful to ensure they understood exactly what we were looking to achieve and that they had to do so within budget. The job was started and completed on time, to a superb standard and to the agreed budget.
RJ Construction added a cowling to our chimney and gave an overall inspection of the health of the chimney stack. They were courteous and prompt and provided excellent service. I will definitely use them again when the need arises and would recommend them.
