STRUCTURAL ALTERATIONS

RJ Construction specialises in structural alterations projects from RSJ installations for new openings for bi-fold doors, load-bearing wall removal, chimney breast removal, and lintel replacements. RSJ beams are made in a strong H-shape and are installed so that the long flat sides of the H are at the top and bottom of the beam, providing a very strong surface on which upper storeys, wall sections, or ceilings allowing for roof construction.

If the wall you are wanting to remove is load bearing, you will need a structural drawing from an engineer. This can be included within our package or to speed the process up you can organise this beforehand and we can work from your drawings.

Yes, we have full liability insurance up to £2 million to cover us for all works undertaken.
Yes, once we have done the initial estimate you can view previous work if required.
You should not need to apply for planning permission for internal alterations including building or removing an internal wall.
If you live in a listed building, however, you will need a listed building consent for any significant works whether internal or external.
For projects of under £2000 we accept payment on completion. For projects of £2000 or above a £10% commitment to works deposit will be required and a stage payment plan detailing when the payments will be required.
